So from the infos I got, nothing is definite yet. They are still testing and discussing on combination of digi- and plott-printing and there is no definite decision on which printing areas will be activated. However from a technical point of view it depends on the plates on which the shirts get stuck. So basically this sounds like it depends on the size of the shirts. On adult shirts you'll have bigger areas (bigger than the usual 30x30 cm) and on children's shirts you'll get smaller areas. I hope, by the time this goes online I'll be able to post a table with all the area-measures.
This sounds like it's going to be technical.... keep it simple spreadshirt.
Take your time and get it right the first time.

Ausrufezeichen A soft launch of Digital Direct

And we have it today. But we start digital direct with limited range. Our tests have been succesfull, however we want to be careful with testing the performance of the live system. Also, we know that problems might arise and to protect our partners and their customers from these risks, we will start with our own shops first. To effectively cope with problems that might arise in the live-production phase, we will be going step by step:

We start with the comfort t, in white, in the spreadshirt-designer, in the german-speaking market. We expect questions and are prepared for difficulties. To minimize the communication efforts we have chosen one language to start with. BUT our plan is to add more products and regions/languages over time.

We ask you to be a bit more patient before we offer digital direct in your language. We will keep you informed of the progress/status here in the Forum.

Guys,

I'm new to this whole thing, but the Direct Digital process is needed for some of the things I'd like to me able to do with my designs, specifically its ability to do transparency. Will it be possible to define regions which are transparent (i.e. not printed) in the underlay layer for dark garments?

The last two designs in this post:

... are the kind of thing I was hoping to be able to do.

Many thanks,

Dr. Matt...

Here is an example from Tobias who made himself a shirt with digi direct and plott-print on top off it. Looks pretty good

Wow, that looks really good. I'd be looking for a similar sort of thing on dark garments, but it's great to see what might be available soon in the EU.

Finally we have activated digital direct for all our customers. Today we activated it for the white and the black comfort-t. However we are still in the soft launch, testing the performance in the live system. So we'd like to ask you for a bit more patience until we will make digital direct available for partner-shops.

Anyway, here are two pics of an example-shirt so you can see what the prints look like on dark garments

Standard Price?

That looks great! What will the baseline cost be on a dark t-shirt?

Thanks,

Dr. Matt...

Hi, any news on how the soft launch is going? Do we know when it will be expanded?
